Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tracknn ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and deletes your information when you use the Tracknn Android app (package com.tracknn.activity.app), the iOS app and the website tracknn.hickter.com (together, the "Service"). Tracknn is a personal productivity app for activities/tasks, reminders, notes and voice notes.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos/files from your device, SMS or call logs. We do not show advertising and we do not sell your personal data. The Android app's manifest contains the Advertising ID permission; Tracknn does not use the advertising ID for advertising, profiling or tracking.

2. How we use your information

To provide, sync and back up your activities, reminders and notes across the app and website in real time.
To send reminders, sign-in codes, password resets and important service messages (push notifications and email).
To provide optional smart features (smart capture, summaries, task suggestions). These run on the device / our server; if the administrator enables a cloud AI provider, the text you choose to process may be sent to that provider only to produce the result.
To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.

3. Sharing with service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

Google — Google Sign-In (if you choose it), Android speech recognition, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, and Gemini AI (only if enabled, only for text you send to AI features).
Expo — delivery of push notifications to the app.
Pusher — real-time sync messages between your devices.
Our hosting and email provider — servers that store the database and send email (located in India).

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We never sell or rent personal data.

4. Security

All data is transferred over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Access to the admin system is protected by role-based permissions and every admin action is logged.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active.
Items you delete are removed from all your devices; their deleted placeholders are permanently erased from our database within 60 days.
When you delete your account, your profile, activities, reminders, notes, categories, notification tokens and sessions are permanently deleted immediately. A minimal security log entry (that an account ID was deleted, with date and IP) is kept for up to 180 days. Copies in server backups are removed when those backups are replaced.

6. How to delete your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

In the app: Profile → Delete account → Delete forever.
On the web, without the app: go to tracknn.hickter.com/delete-account, enter your email, confirm with the code we email you.
By email: write to admin@tracknn.hickter.com from your account's email address. We complete the request within 7 days.

7. Your rights

You can access and edit your data in the app at any time, export your content by contacting us, and request correction or deletion. You can turn off notifications in your device settings and withdraw microphone permission at any time.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, notify you in the app or by email.
